Our theme verse for this year's Delmar State
Missions Offering is really key to our ministry together as
God's people called Southern Baptists in Wyoming. The verse
is set in the context of the struggle we have living in this
world (earthly tents) while longing for our heavenly home.
Life here can be a struggle. And, honestly, we face days ahead
that have a degree of difficulty and uncertainty that makes
most of us uncomfortable.
But, God has a purpose for us here on this little
piece of earth known as Wyoming. His purpose is to conform
us to the likeness of his Son Jesus so he can use us to be
a transforming influence on those around us. We must be heavenly
minded but also of earthly good. That means we must keep a
spiritual perspective as we minister in the reality of where
we and those around us live.
And, we can do it together! That is the beauty
of Southern Baptist life, and nobody does it like Wyoming
Southern Baptists. Through our Delmar Offerings, like our
Cooperative Giving, we combine resources to accomplish Kingdom
work here where we live. Both the offering and the effort
are important! And it will have growing importance into the
years to come.
