Reach
A-CROSS WYOMING
Acts 5:42 tells us the early disciples
“never stopped” proclaiming Jesus as the Christ , and one
way they did this was house-to-house. The goal of this component
of the A-CROSS
WYOMING Strategy
is two-fold; first, that every home in Wyoming be exposed
to the simple plan of salvation and second, that every family
unit in Wyoming would receive an invitation to attend an evangelistic
Easter Service at a Southern Baptist Church in their neighborhood
or community.
This
portion of the plan is simple. In brief, you will enlist members
of your church to distribute an evangelistic flyer called
Find
It Here,
secure and organize other materials (i.e. church brochure
and Easter invitation), and develop a distribution plan for
your church. In larger communities, you will want to develop
a strategy in conjunction with your local association and
the other Southern Baptist Churches in your community, so
that there will not be a duplication of efforts. Here are
the steps for the distribution of the gospel:
Enlist
All Ages for Gospel Distribution
The
Gospel distribution begins Saturday, March 27th. This is the
suggested day for distribution; however, it may not be the
best day for your church. It is critical to the success of
the A-CROSS WYOMING effort, that preparation through prayer
precede the door to door gospel distribution.
Develop
an Invitation to the Easter Service at Your Church
This Easter invitation for April
4 th should look as nice as you can make it. The look of the
invitation will make a huge impression on your community.
Secure
and Organize A-CROSS
WYOMING Materials
The Find
It Here materials
consist of a clear hanging bag along with a gospel flyer that
reflects the above theme. In addition, each church will provide
your own brochure and/or Easter invitation. You can order
the Find
It Here materials
by mailing in the “Participation Card” that will be provided
for each all WSBC church. The Find
It Here brochures,
along with your church's Easter invitation will need to be
placed in the door hanger bag prior to the day of distribution.
Implement
the Gospel Distribution Plan
Enlist two person teams for the door-to-door
delivery, using the prayer-walking routes established earlier.
Assign each team the location that they will be responsible
for. This will allow you to track how much of your community
has been covered, and protects you from duplicating your efforts.
Sow
the Gospel Seed
On March 27th, (or a date of your
choosing), make your assignments for the distribution, asking
people to continue the work until all of your community is
covered. Encourage them to leave the packet on the
door (NOT THE MAILBOX) and to pray for each home
as they deliver the materials.
