Literacy
Missions
When
you can read you have choices. However, in Wyoming , 1 out
of every four adults has no choice because he or she is functionally
illiterate. This means he or she:
•
Cannot read above a 5 th grade level.
•
Cannot read the Bible, a hymnal, Sunday School quarterlies
or any other Christian literature.
•
Will probably not come to Sunday School because they are afraid
they will be asked to read.
•
Must accept what they are told by others including door-to-door
cult visitors.
•
Will have difficulty understanding written medical information.
•
May have trouble completing a job application.
Literacy
Missions Ministry is an exciting opportunity to impact your
community with the Gospel. It is also an excellent way to
begin a ministry with language groups that may be moving into
