Mission
Education
God's
call for His people to be on mission sharing the love of Jesus
with a lost world has not changed. Mission Education is a
vital part of fulfilling this call and of the overall health
of our churches. It is relevant to every person in the church
regardless of their age. There are many options for educating
our people about missions and missionaries that range from
weekly meetings to participation in projects and ministries
locally, nationally and internationally.
Camps
are also offered each year at Mt. Top Assembly that will involve
school aged children in missions as well. An event geared
toward youth-aged students is available in October of each
year. YouthReach, a coed event, is offered during odd-numbered
years and the Wyoming Girl's Retreat, for girls only, is offered
during even-numbered years. Check the calendar for links to
information about the upcoming event.
Mission
education materials are available for individuals of all ages
through both Woman's Missionary Union and the North American
Mission Board. For information about these resources please
contact Ruth Barber.
There
are two exciting things you need to know about if you are
interested in materials and ministries available through WMU:

individual, church or associational training and consultations
or speaking engagements. The current consultants are:
Pam Woody, Mt. View - President
vacant - Adults on Mission (coed) or Women on Mission
Autumn Bryan, LaBarge - Youth on Mission (coed) or Acteens
Beccy Kimzey, The Rock Cheyenne - Children in Action (coed)
or GA's
Free literature may be available for a year if you are beginning
a new organization in your church or community.
