Quin Willams Named New WSBMN State Missionary
by Lynn Nikkel
It is with great excitement and anticipation that we announce that the Executive Board of the Wyoming Southern Baptist Mission Network has called Quin Williams to be the next State Missionary of our Network! The Board members, and including the Network staff, are excited for how God will use Quin to lead us into a great future of cooperative ministry together. We believe God has led us to this decision and has called him to this leadership role. His official start date in this new role will be November 1, 2018, during our WSBMN Annual Meeting. There will be a transition time as he concludes his ministry leadership at Boyd Avenue, but he will be fully engaged and providing leadership to our work from his beginning date.
Quin and Beth have been serving at Boyd Avenue Baptist Church for twenty-two years as their pastor. They came to Wyoming at that time after pastoring churches for 17 years in Texas and have firmly planted their lives and ministry here. Quin has also served in leadership positions here in Wyoming as our Convention President, on the Executive Board, in the Northeast Region, teaching in our CLD program, in the camping program at Mountain Top Baptist Assembly, and in many other ways.
Quin’s firm grasp on ministry in Wyoming and a committed heart to see that Wyoming is reached for the expansion of the Great Commission across this land is one of many reasons for his selection. He will lead capably and with great understanding of the needs of our Network pastors, planters and churches. His wife, Beth, currently works in our Network Resource Center as a ministry assistant, is highly involved in church life, in the Mountaintop Baptist Assembly camp ministry, in the Region, is a great ministry partner to Quin, and fully supportive of God’s leadership in this decision.
To add my personal note to this announcement, I want to say that I am fully supportive of this election of Quin as our new leader. Quin and I have been close friends since he moved to this state, and I know that God will use him in these days to revive and reinforce the spirit of partnership and relationship that will help propel our mission and ministry into the future! I urge prayerful and strong support from from everyone for Quin and Beth as they embark on this new season of ministry together with us.
